Princeton, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/06/2018 -- Purple Wishing Gate, a provider of unique and religious blessing gifts, has chosen the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Delaware (CCCFD) as the charity they will be donating to this year. Each year, Purple Wishing Gate selects one organization to donate a portion of all proceeds. The CCCFD was chosen based on Facebook votes and input from the company's founder, Barbara D. MacAdam.
The Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Delaware is a non-profit organization that donates all proceeds to children fighting cancer. It was established in 1997 to provide funding for the A.I Dupont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE.
Soon after the organization was founded, they began projects such as purchasing televisions for children in the hospital. Projects like these are designed to make treatment more bearable for children who are required to stay at the hospital for treatment. More information about the organization can be found here.
This organization is especially close to the heart of Purple Wishing Gate's founder, Barbara MacAdam, whose daughter passed away from cancer and received treatments at the A.I. Dupont Hospital for Children for one year.
Throughout 2018, 10% of every purchase that is made on the Purple Wishing Gate website will be donated to the CCCFD. Every time a customer purchases a religious gift for a loved one, they will be donating to a charitable cause that helps provide kids in the oncology department with goods to take their minds off of their conditions.
Additionally, every time the Purple Wishing Gate Facebook page gets a new "like", Barbara MacAdam will donate a dollar to the CCCFD. She will continue with contributions until the page receives 1,000 likes.
To donate to the CCCFD in 2018 and join Barbara MacAdam in her efforts, individuals can find religious gift ideas for loved ones on the Purple Wishing Gate website or like the company's Facebook page. About Purple Wishing Gate
Purple Wishing Gate began with a dream. Its founder, Barbara D. MacAdam, dreamed of her 12-year-old daughter, Bonnie Rose, who had passed away from cancer, standing behind a purple gate in a heavenly garden. As people came up to the gate, Bonnie listened to their wishes, turned them into prayers, then ran off to give them to God. Thus, Purple Wishing Gate was born...where wishes made are turned to prayer, so God can keep them in His care!™
Inspired by her dream, Barbara began writing and painting personalized blessings that people of all faiths can give as gifts. For the past 13 years, Purple Wishing Gate has spread inspirational messages of hope, love and gratitude; in addition, 10% of all sales go to children with cancer.
