Raven Firm, LC Featured Lawyer Whitney Traylor Case Affirmed by the Colorado Supreme Court Case

 

Wheat Ridge, CO -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/17/2015 -- Whitney Traylor, Featured Lawyer for the LawyerLighthouse.com website in 2010 won a verdict for his clients Patrick Singson and Chris Boyer. After appeals from both sides, the case was affirmed by the Colorado Supreme Court on January 2015 (http://law.justia.com/cases/colorado/supreme-court/2015/13sc131.html).

Chris Boyer and Patrick Singson were sued by their former employer, Health Grades, Inc., for misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of duty of loyalty, and breach of contract. Whitney Traylor of the Traylor Law Group, along with Paul Maxon of the Law Office of Paul Maxon defended Mr. Boyer and Mr. Singson against these claims and asserted a counterclaim against Health Grades for abuse of process. After a five-day trial, the jury found in favor of Mr. Boyer and Mr. Singson on every claim, and awarded them a $400,000 judgment on their counterclaim. After appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court affirmed the original verdict in June 2015.

Brooks v. Sara Lee Corporation
04-CV-01588-ZLW-MJW, United States District Court for the District of Colorado

Plaintiff, an employee of Sara Lee, asserted claims for violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, C.R.S. 24-34-402, and 42 U.S.C. 1981. After a three-day trial, the jury found in favor of the Plaintiff and awarded him $300,000 ($50,000 for emotional distress damages and $250,000 for punitive damages). Plaintiff was also awarded his attorney fees and costs.

Pulse, et. al. v. The Larry H. Miller Group
03-CV-02073-WDM-PAC, United States District Court for the District of Colorado

The Traylor Law Group represented two individual Plaintiffs in this action against the Larry H. Miller Group. Plaintiffs asserted claims, among other things, for a sexual harassment hostile work environment. The jury returned a verdict for both Plaintiffs in the amount of $3,225,000. This remains one of the largest non-class action employment discrimination verdicts in the history of Colorado.
