Ray Dalio Transcendental Meditation "Changed My Life"

Fairfield, IA -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/04/2015 -- Founder of the biggest hedge fund in the world, Bridgewater Associates, Ray Dalio recently spoke about his experiences with Transcendental Meditation.

Dalio, whose current net worth exceeds $15 billion, said;

"I started [Transcendental Meditation] in 1968/69 and it changed my life because, like I was a very ordinary or sub ordinary student. It brought me a clarity, made me independent, made me free flowing, it just gave me lots of gifts."

Dalio went on to say,

"You know things are going to come at you, but if you are just calm and you realise that is just what reality brings you. It brings you things you want and it brings you things you don't want and you just have to deal with that reality and that equanimity and the acceptance of reality is something that is much easier with meditation. [Transcendental] Meditation more than any other factor, has been the reason for whatever success I've had."

Asked to comment, Mark Heath Chairman of the Transcendental Meditation Brighton centre said,

"Transcendental Meditation has long been known to increase creativity and brain functioning and therefore it is of no surprise to me that one of the most creative, successful businessmen in the world practices TM."

In his closing remarks during an interview with Martin Scorsese, Dalio added,

"The thing to convey is also how it compounds so that it keeps getting better, whatever amount that you're meditating, next year will be better and the year after that will be better. I meditate 20 minutes a day except if I've got a busy day and then I meditate 40 minutes. So experience it yourself, how much convincing do you need!"
