Through her new book Jai hopes to encourage readers who are suffering from similar issues like she had to overcome, she encourages those in recovery not to give up because there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Jai has been singing from the age of five and has developed a popular local music career spanning almost six decades. As the author of "Darkness to Destiny," Jai relives her share of challenges and turmoil both in her personal and professional life. She believes that many people who will read her story will relate to many of the challenging circumstances she has had to overcome, like heroin addiction, domestic violence, incarceration, sexual abuse, and that her story will inspire them to make positive changes in their lives.
