The only inspiration behind his first album "Really not a Rapper" is that he never wanted to be a rapper. He never pursued interest in becoming a rapper or wanted a career as a rapper growing up. What really pushed him was a phase where he had to face legal complications and that is when his music acted as a therapy to him. Later Montana Montana Montana singed this record deal with J-Diggs, an American rapper and co-CEO of Thizz Entertainment. The album was released under T-Team Records and City Hall Records in 2014. The album had other hit singles such as "Straight to The Money" which featured Philthy Rich and this single hit the U.S. Hit chart at number sixty. This successful album resulted in Montana working with other industry producers and rappers such as Mistah F.A.B, Jay Rock, J. Stalin and so on.

Montana who was raised on the streets of California and hence he feels that his upbringing has contributed to his West Coast personality.
