Sales of automatic dishwashers to medium income consumers just started to reach a significant level in 2003 thanks to the recovery of real incomes, importation of products and the increasingly hectic life style of Argentines. However, in 2011 and 2012 import barriers imposed by the Secretary of Commerce negatively impacted dishwasher sales because this product is not manufactured in Argentina. During 2013, a relaxation of restrictions slightly improved sales of dishwashers.

The excellent participation of Unilever is due to its wide range of products covering all price ranges.
