“Mansion House” raises funds for Petralthan Pillaiya? (All children. Our Children.)

 

Mumbai, Maharashtra -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/28/2011 -- Tilaknagar Industries Ltd. (TI) known for its role beyond being a key player in the Beverage industry has come forward to provide financial assistance to HIV infected children in Tamil Nadu. The company recently offered support to the Petralthan Pillaiya? (All children. Our Children.) project that was initiated by Population Services International (PSI), an NGO working in the field of Public Health along with Hello FM and Padmashri Kamal Haasan.

The Mansion House Brand of TI is the Official Cheers Partner for Chennai Super Kings, champions of IPL Season IV. Mansion House had sponsored a show called Solli Adi on Hello FM, a popular radio channel, as a promotional activity for the MHB-CSK association. They auctioned the tickets for the matches along with the CSK players’ autographed t-shirts and bats through the show, seeking to raise funds for children infected with HIV. Further on, TI contributed an equal amount of the funds received through auction thereby doubling the total proceeds and raising a larger contribution for the cause.

Speaking about the initiative Mr. S.S. Balajee, DGM (sales), Tilaknagar Industries Ltd. said, “The intent to support such campaigns is not just to offer financial support but to reduce the stigma and discrimination faced by children living with HIV. This moral support can create a positive attitude in the child and go a great extent in helping overcome the impact of the infection. ”

TI planned a one day event in Chennai wherein the Senior Management visited the home and spent some time with the children before handing over the cheque.
