Top Sale Year-to-Date in Barrington, R.I.: “White Cliffs”

Today announced the sale of “White Cliffs,” a Barrington estate located at 251 Rumstick Road. The waterfront property sold for $3,135,000, making it the highest sale in Barrington this year to date and the fifth highest on record.

 

Newport, RI -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/31/2011 -- Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty today announced the sale of “White Cliffs,” a Barrington estate located at 251 Rumstick Road. The waterfront property sold for $3,135,000, making it the highest sale in Barrington this year to date and the fifth highest on record. Realtors Kathleen Greenman and Michelle Kirby of Gustave White Sotheby’s were the listing agents.

The main residence at “White Cliffs” was built in 1918, with separate garages and a guest house added subsequently. The 3.4 acre grounds included manicured gardens, arbor, fountain, terraces, and sweeping lawns to the water. Paul A. Leys, partner in the firm said, “This sale is a strong indication that the high-end real estate in Rhode Island is alive and well.”
