New Dental Hygienist at San Antonio Dentist, PA Has Started Compulsory One-On-One Awareness Program (100 Character Max.)

The freshly appointed dental hygienist at San Antonio Dentist PA has made elaborate plans to implement a compulsory one-on-one awareness program with patients of San Antonio Dentist PA.

San Antonio, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/02/2011 -- Gina Devis, 29, an ADA accredited dental hygienist, has joined the San Antonio Dentist PA to take care of various dental hygiene issues affecting its customers. On top of her ADA accreditation, Gina has also been accredited by the National Dental Hygiene Board Examinations and the State of Texas Dental Hygiene Examinations. She is the mother of two, a renowned social worker of the area, and an active member of the San Antonio District Dental Hygienists’ Society’s (SADDHS).

Like previous hygienist of the dental office, Gina Devis started her duties at San Antonio Dentist PA with regular hygienist tasks and jobs including: removing tartar, stains, and plaque from patients’ teeth, and taking x-rays. She has also carried out the duties of treating periodontal diseases, administering anaesthetics, removing sutures, placing temporary fillings, and instructing patients on proper dental hygiene habits.

“Whatever I do, I couldn't forget my primary professional duty as a dental hygienist, which is to prevent the spread of dental diseases in society.” Gina said, “And this is the only way to prevent the spread of this acute problem.”

With the permission of Dr. Roger of San Antonio Dentist PA, Gina has begun to implement a compulsory one-on-one awareness program with the patients of San Antonio Dentist PA in order to educate them on different aspects of proper dental hygiene.

“Not all the patients can provide me the same amount of time,” Gina mentions; “I have to accommodate and adjust the time span and the schedule of the program with each patient---that varies, patient to patient, and that gives me a lot of headaches," Gina explains.

She has also had to modify the subject matter of the awareness program multiple times in accordance to each patient’s available time and health needs.

“She is carrying on an excellent job," Dr. Roger of San Antonio Dentist PA claimed proudly. “Some patients find it hard to provide additional time; some patients are even reluctant to provide time, but the overall outcome of the initiative is very positive indeed.” Patients under the age of fifteen are especially benefited by the one-on-one awareness program on dental hygiene, and so are their parents, Dr. Roger pointed out.

Gina Devis has created a blueprint to take her oral hygiene awareness program out of the dental office and into society. “My target is the junior schools of the area. Our team will carry out weekly voluntary programs in the different schools.” Presently, Gina is on track to building a team of volunteers and acquiring additional funding to implement her blueprint. “I have gotten some positive responses to funding my program by a number of the state agencies." Gina announced gleefully, “I can start soon!”

It is obvious that the school children of the area, and the overall community, will be benefited by Gina's oral hygiene awareness program, just like patients of San Antonio Dentist PA have benefited in the past.
