For the 2012 model year, BMW has replaced the 650i’s old 4.8-liter V8 engine with a 4.4-liter V8 TwinPower Turbo engine. The coupe and convertible’s new engine goes from 0 to 60 in as little as 4.9 seconds, while producing an impressive 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque.

The 640i continues to be powered by the 3.0-liter inline-6, which outputs 315 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque.

The speedy 6 Series is also loaded with innovative technology. The coupe and convertible offer an onboard navigation system with traffic alerts, a rearview camera, Bluetooth technology, and voice commands. Other features available on the new convertible include SIRIUS Satellite Radio, HD Radio, an iPhone/iPad integration system, and BMW Apps, making it easy to stay connected to the outside world when driving the 650i.

BMW updated the styling for the 2012 6 Series coupe and convertible as well. The 6 Series now sits lower to the ground and has received new headlamps and taillamps, a wider grill, and features a more angular appearance, giving the model a more crisp look than its predecessor.
