Chicago, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/21/2011 -- Pierrot Gourmet introduces a neighborhood delivery menu, “PG To Go,” perfect for business meetings, lunch at the office, special events or a dinner party at home, ideal dining in Chicago downtown. The new delivery service will be offered to locations within a five-block radius of the restaurant at The Peninsula Chicago luxury hotel: north to Walton Street, south to Grand Avenue, east to McClurg Court and west to LaSalle Street. The new “PG To Go” menu features fresh salads, savory sandwiches, decadent desserts, a selection of beverages and large platters, available every day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Diners are invited to choose from seasonal salads such as farfalle pasta salad with fire-roasted sweet peppers, tomatoes, basil and parmesan cheese or a rich tomato and mozzarella salad. A variety of European sandwiches can also be ordered for delivery, including Madrange ham with French brie on a baguette, the popular Peninsula club sandwich or a delicious grilled vegetable wrap.
Large platters can also be delivered for the perfect meal during business meetings and special office and private events. Selections range from poached jumbo shrimp, Alaskan king crab legs, Vietnamese spring rolls, sushi platters and crudités served with dip.
There is a US$ 170 or a 10-person minimum on each order. Credit cards are accepted and all orders require 24-hour advance notice. Disposable utensils, plates and napkins are provided.
Pierrot Gourmet is located on street level at The Peninsula Chicago, 108 East Superior Street, at the corner of Rush and Superior Streets.
Signature items include tartines, flambées, a variety of rotisserie items, home-made soups and salads, French pastries, a wide array of wines by the glass and more. Outdoor seating is available as well as communal tables indoors. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Wednesday, 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, Thursday through Saturday, 7:00 am to 10:00 pm and Sunday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
