Delhi, India -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/11/2012 -- IGSSS was registered on 9th May, 1961, under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and renamed as Indo -Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) on 18th August, 2004. IGSSS works across four core areas in 21 states of India: Sustainable Livelihood, Youth Development, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Urban Poverty. Working with IGSSS Non-Government Organization Development India could develop an economic model of poor village. For nearly three decades, IGSSS has been a leader in the Indian women Empowerment: Advocacy, Gender Equality and Human Rights due to its unique position as an experienced facilitator of grassroots pro grammes and trainings; an esteemed research institute; and a lobbyist, advocate and adviser to government institutions. Women being an integral part of the society have an equal bidding in all the activities that are taken up culturally, socially, economically and politically. But women are found to be the most marginalized and the most vulnerable category when studied on the context of poverty, availing opportunities, literacy rate and health.
The main areas of concern for this organizations include Health, Housing, Sanitation Food and providing other needs and basic facilities.
There is also the issue of Gender inequality, HIV AIDS support and the Adult care as well as charity. IGSSS is health based, improving the livelihood of most India who live below the poverty line.
