“CoreXchange customers demand enterprise-class reliability and security,” according to Peter Pathos, chairman of CoreXchange. “Achieving SSAE 16 compliance is another level of assurance for our customers that CoreXchange data center facilities operate at the highest level of verified operational controls, procedures, and processes.

SSAE 16 compliance will make it easier for CoreXchange customers to complete their own internal and third party audits, including those conducted under PCI, HIPAA, or SEC standards.

About the SSAE 16 Type II Compliance Standard:
SSAE 16 is an auditing standard superseding the previous Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70). The SAS 70 has been an operations auditing standard since 1992 and ensures clients and their auditors that service organization control information is reported in an ethical and uniform manner. SAS 70 reports generated by service auditors signal that a service organization has had its control objectives and activities examined by an independent accounting/auditing firm. The new SSAE 16 service auditor report includes a detailed description of service organization controls, an assessment of whether or how controls were placed in operation, if controls were properly designed, and a performance assessment, measuring overall effectiveness. Additionally, SSAE 16 improves upon the former SAS70 standards by enabling companies to competitively operate internationally, conforming to new international service organization reporting standards under ISAE 3402 http://www.ssae-16.com/isae-3402/.
