Scott Tucker & Level 5 Motorsport Gearing Up for Long Beach Test

 

Madison, WI -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/04/2012 -- Scott Tucker and his Level 5 Motorsports team are gearing up for the next round of the 2012 American Le Mans Series which takes to the streets of Long Beach, CA on April 14. Scott Tucker will be looking to add another win to his impressive collection as the ALMS hits the ocean front street circuit later this month. This year is the 6th consecutive year of ALMS action at the famous street circuit just outside Los Angeles and the event is always a firm favorite of fans as they can get so close to all the race action.

Fresh from his season opening win at Sebring Scott Tucker will have to battle through a full grid of 35 cars if he is to continue his impressive start to the 2012 season. As owner and driver of Level 5 Motorsports Scott Tucker will be racing in both Level 5 entries, in the HPD ARX-03b #95 car Tucker will be joined by team mate Luis Diaz from Mexico City, Mexico and in the #055 HPD ARX-03b car Tucker will be joined by legendary French driver Christophe Bouchot, who Tucker has formed an excellent driving partnership over the last few seasons.

In 2011, Scott Tucker and Christophe Bouchut reigned supreme at Long Beach heading up the P2 class and on the way the securing the P2 class championship. This year's entry list is both bigger and better and so Tucker and Bouchut will have their work cut out in attempting to secure a repeat performance of last year's success. Tucker and Bouchut are no strangers to success around the famous street circuit as they also won the Prototype Challenge there in 2010 in their #055 Oreca FLM09 car.

Entering his second full season the in P2 class Scott Tucker will be aiming for a hat-trick of ALMS championships this season, as well as racing in the world famous Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race in France. For a driver who started his career so much later than all of his rivals Scott Tucker has really set the racing world alight with his cool and composed manner which has catapulted him to the top of the racing world in such a short space of time. The five-time national racing champion has already amassed over 70 career wins which has seen him travel all over the world giving race fans a chance to witness his skills which saw him becoming the ALMS champion in 2011.
