Scott Tucker Lends a Helping Hand to New Rival

Madison, WI -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/06/2012 -- Scott Tucker, race car driver and owner of Level 5 Motorsports has been lending a helping hand to new ALMS class P2 rival team Black Swan Racing by loaning them Level 5's 2011 Lola-Honda B11/80 car in order for the Tim Pappas owned team to compete in the 2012 ALMS P2 class series. Scott tucker won the ALMS P2 series championship driving the B11/80 car in 2011 and by loaning the car to Black Swan Racing Tucker is not only lending a hand to his new rivals but also lending a helping hand to the whole of ALMS P2 class series overall.

Scott Tucker and his Level 5 Motorsports team spent a busy off season winter doing all they could to ensure the P2 class was more competitive for 2012 and the deal struck by lending the B11/80 to Black Swan Racing now means Tucker will be facing some pretty fierce competition from a car he and his team-mates know so well. According to Tucker Level 5 were doing anything they could to put deals together and get things going. He went on to add that he thinks it's great for the series, and he's doing it to help build the P2 class.

Thanks to Scott tucker voluntarily lending a helping hand the P2 class has been boosted with the new arrivals of not just Black Swan Racing but also Conquest Endurance. After reaching out to prospective P2 teams over the winter Tucker managed to get Black Swan onboard and Owner Tim Pappas was delighted to be entering the p2 class with the loan of such a reliable car, and he is expecting the class to continue to grow, stating that he thinks as more people come out, the better the likelihood that this becomes a really good class. Pappas went on to add that when you look at these cars and parts and pieces, it's a real, proper race car.

Last year's ALMS P2 class champion Scott Tucker got the season off to a flying start alongside team-mates Christophe Bouchut and Joao Barbosa in the #055 car winning the P2 class at the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring in March, finishing ahead of the Black Swan Racing team's #54 entry driven by owner driver Tim Pappas, Bret Curtis, and Jon Fogarty. The next race in what promises to be an exciting ALMS P2 season is the Long Beach Street race in Mid April, which is always a fans favorite.
