http://www.PhillyBeerEvents.com is designed for quick reference and as a go-to source for all types of beer events happening in the city and some of the surrounding areas. It will include information about local beer festivals, beer and food pairing dinners, beer tasting events, beer lectures, book signings, fundraisers, as well as other local beer-related special events. Beer lovers can visit the site at any time to review postings or they may opt-in for bi-weekly event announcements delivered to them via email.

“Philly residents are serious about their beer. They know it, they love it, and embrace all things beer. We hope to become a valuable resource about beer, who is pouring what and where,” said Andy Calimano, co-owner of Starfish Junction.

Earlier this year, Starfish Junction launched http://www.LIBeerEvents.com to provide information about beer events to the underserved beer lover community on Long Island. “The site has really taken off. It has become an invaluable tool for local breweries, restaurants, and beer lovers island-wide,” said Calimano. “We plan to launch www.NYCBeerEvents.com early fall.”

Visitors to the site can scroll through a calendar to see current posting of beer events happening in and around the city. With one click of a button, the event can be added into a beer lover’s Microsoft Outlook calendar, making event details accessible from a PC, MAC, Blackberry or other PDAs.

The site’s online photo album will entertain viewers as it delivers a photo journalistic display of various events, using both digital photo stills and video. Future plans for www.PhillyBeerEvents.com include the addition of basic beer education, book reviews, and the sharing of beer-infused recipes from local chefs and restaurateurs.
