Tiësto (birth-name: Tijs Michiel Verwest) was born on 17 January 1969 in Breda, North Brabant, Netherlands. Although Tiesto has used many aliases in the past, he is best known for his work as DJ Tiësto. On his latest productions, however, he has dropped the "DJ" label and is now known simply as "Tiësto", an alias which is an Italian twist of his childhood nickname. Tiesto is also known as DJ Tiesto, Allure, Da Joker, Drumfire, Handover Circuit, Paradise In Dubs, Passenger, Roze, Steve Forte Rio, Stray Dog, Tom Ace, Wild Bunch.

Tiesto has released four studio albums so far: In My Memory (2001), Just Be (2004), Elements of Life (2007) and Kaleidoscope (2009). Tiësto's other albums include: Parade of the Athletes (2004), Just Be: Remixed (2006) and Elements of Life: Remixed (2008).

Tiësto is currently on road for the Kaleidoscope World Tour, for the support of his fourth album Kaleidoscope. Tiesto will kick-start the Kaleidoscope World Tour (European Leg), also dubbed as UK Tour, on 5 March 2010 at Sheffield Arena, Sheffield. Tiesto will commence the European Leg (UK part) of Kaleidoscope World Tour on 20 March 2010 at LG Arena, Birmingham. Tiesto is all set to preform at Cardiff International Arena on 12 March 2010, a venue he has not yet preformed.
