With more than 18 years of professional experience as an electrical engineer, Hungerford brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and will take on the role of educating the general public on the Fuel Doctor USA’s FD-47, an innovative product that significantly changes the rate of fuel consumption of an automobile. As CTO, Hungerford will help consumers understand exactly how the FD-47 works as well as its money saving technology.

With an extensive background in engineering design and manufacturing, Hungerford is the perfect technology spokesperson for Fuel Doctor USA. “Doug’s knowledge and skill set provide him an instinctive comprehension of machine functions, systems operation, and failure analysis that all benefit the understanding of Fuel Doctor’s technology” explained Mark Soffa, the Company’s CEO. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Hungerford received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Since graduating in the early 1990’s, he has worked in a variety of capacities including Electronics Technician, Electrical Engineer, Project Engineer, and Systems Engineer. Hungerford has worked at all levels of engineering, both domestically and internationally, with some of the most prestigious firms and corporations such as E.C.C. International/Cubic Simulation Systems, Simcom, ITEC Productions, Universal Studios Florida, and Walt Disney World. These experiences have given Hungerford in-depth knowledge of numerous hardware and software systems. Hungerford is also a member of International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).

Currently, Hungerford is competing in the Progressive Automotive X Prize Competition as part of BDCOTSRUS, Inc., a horizontally integrated group of engineers, consultants and friends that share a common goal of increasing the efficiency of an existing design. The goal of the Progressive Automotive X Prize is to inspire a new generation of viable, super fuel-efficient vehicles that offer more consumer choices, focusing largely on affordability, safety and the environment. Ten million dollars in prizes will be awarded to the teams that win a stage race for lean, production-capable vehicles that exceed 100 MPGe. Hungerford will be using the Fuel Doctor USA technology in the BDCOTRSRUS, Inc. car in the competition.
