Industrial Exposure a Part and Parcel of SMS Students’ Life

 

Varanasi, U.P -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/25/2010 -- School of Management Sciences is one of the few management institutes in the country who believes in overall development of the students through its various initiatives. Industrial visit is the part and parcel of students’ life. Every year local, national, port visit and international visits are organized to give students a corporate flavor. This year national study tour was organized in the northern India industrial hub. The students of different PGDM programme belonging to SMS, Varanasi and SMS, Lucknow went on a week long tour to Ludhiana and hilly region of Himachal Pradesh. The prominent industries where students had first hand exposure were Duke, Avon Cycle, Ralson Tyres, Indian Beverages, Aarti international etc.The students also got opportunity to interact with the Managing Directors of all these industries. The no. of students went in this tour were 90. This whole trip was organized by the SMS, Varanasi faculty.

SMS faculties participated in ICSMEED organized by FMS BHU.

Academic enrichment of faculties are encouraged in SMS .In a bid to have bigger participation in International Conference organized by FMS, BHU 10 SMS Varanasi faculty participated and presented their paper in front of the experts panel and delegates who gathered from different parts of the world to participate in the International Conference on Strategic Management of Energy, Environment and Disaster for Sustainable Development, held from 11 Jan -15 Jan2010. The purpose of this conference was to bring together the leading environmentalists, practitioners, academicians, policy makers, economists from across the world for idea and experience sharing regarding the development sustainability on one hand and the conservation and protection of environment. The chief guest of this conference was the famous environmentalist Dr. RK Pachouri.
