Pell City, AL-based Royal Sausage Company had previously used Quickbooks, a separate EDI system, and manual processes, such as spreadsheets and handwritten documentation, to manage all its business processes. The company, however, sought the ability to electronically track its materials from receipt to shipment in one, easy-to-use system to better meet the auditing requirements of its customers.

In addition, Royal Sausage Company also required a system that could innately handle catch weight management.
