Kelis is a BRIT Award winner and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards. Kelis became known worldwide for her Third Studio Album "Tasty", that was released in 2003 and has so far become Kelis's most successful Album to date, selling over 2 million Albums worldwide, and earning critical acclaim upon release. The Album also featured her biggest hit, "Milkshake", which became well-known in Western popular culture. Kelis has sold a total of over 3.7 million Albums worldwide.
Kelis began recording her debut Album, "Kaleidoscope", in late 1998 and was finished within a year. Kelis's second album, "Wanderland", was released two years later exclusively in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Kelis's Third Album, "Tasty", sell over 400,000 copies in the U.S in only two months. It also earned her a Grammy Award nomination in 2004 for Best Urban Performance. Kelis's Fourth Studio Album, "Kelis Was Here" (originally due to be called The Puppeteer), was released in August 2006, and debuted and peaked at number Ten on the Billboard 200. Kelis premiered the lead single from her Fifth Studio Album, "Flesh Tone", called "Acapella".
