LawCrossing Aggressively Posts Legal Jobs Even As Law Schools Resort to Grade Inflation

Pasadena, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/28/2010 -- LawCrossing, the legal industry’s most reliable job board, now offers more than 111,000 live and active job listings available to its users. The legal job board is not affected by the downsizing job market and has surpassed a slew of other legal job boards with its current collection of jobs.

Meanwhile law school students are getting good grades because schools are just escalating their grade point averages without the students deserving it. This is a move done by law schools so that students can get better jobs, at better law firms. Law firms which are unsuspecting of foul play will never understand how law schools just raised GPAs of their students for no actual reason. Analysts say that this is due to the pressure of unemployment of many recent graduates who have not landed up a job yet.

According to the latest data released by the US Department of Labor, in April, the legal services sector lost 1,100 jobs and in March, legal jobs decreased by 500. According to figures originally compiled by AM Law Daily, the legal sector has cut 22,000 jobs since May 2009. There has been a slight increase of 300 jobs in the legal sector in May though.

“The wave of economic turbulence has swept away thousands of law jobs and resulted in law schools doing malpractices to let their students secure the edge. This is pitiful as the law schools are themselves not able to follow the law. However, LawCrossing and other EmploymentCrossing companies have been relentlessly finding jobs from every possible source and adding it to support thousands of job seekers,” adds Barnes.

Recently Hewlett Packard announced that it would select lawyers fresh out of law school rather than seeking out experienced lawyers. Meanwhile, other law firms have been strictly evaluating employee performances to indirectly cut staff. “There is a crisis alright. But the flip side to every crisis is another opportunity. LawCrossing offers not one or two, but hundreds of thousands of new legal opportunities,” says Barnes.

The 111,000-plus legal jobs comprises of attorney jobs, law student jobs, paralegal jobs, and other legal openings.

“LawCrossing has got hundreds of staff working rigorously to ensure that we have the richest and most reliable selection of current legal jobs in the country. We specialize in finding and posting all available legal jobs, so users can rest assured that they are never missing a beat with LawCrossing,” adds Barnes. In addition to its constant efforts to expand the resources and number of jobs on the site, LawCrossing features the hottest legal news stories and profiles of the industry’s key players.
