Portsmouth, NH -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/14/2010 -- Portsmouth Regional Hospital has reached a significant milestone with the scheduled opening this Monday of the beautiful new hospital main entrance and lobby. The lobby, with its double atrium, will consolidate entry in to the medical facility. The theme of the lobby is the rich maritime history of the Seacoast area.

All patients seeking medical care will enter through one main clearly marked entry way at the front of the facility. The lobby reception area will be staffed 7 days per week from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The free valet service will be available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., and patients are encouraged to use it.

All patients will enter through the main lobby and be directed to the check-in area for registration and testing. The only exceptions are emergency patients that should still enter through the emergency entrance and maternity patients that should report directly to maternity.
