Cartier Watches Presents Jewels at Prague Castle

 

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/09/2010 -- Hosted by the Prague Castle Riding School, the “Cartier at Prague Castle – The Power of Style” exhibit houses over 360 pieces showing a historical glimpse of Cartier through time. The evolving history of Cartier will be displayed highlighting the different eras and the stylistic changes that have occurred over the decades in this important exhibition. This display will uniquely show the largest number of pieces and Cartier watches ever presented in an exhibition from the Cartier Collection.

With over 160 years of design behind Cartier watches that is ever changing, curator Eva Eisler, Professor at the Prague Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design displays her vision. Grouping the items according to stylistic similarities as well as chronological order Ms. Eisler displays Cartier’s aesthetic at its best. Unique style and changing values from the designers of Cartier take you through the eras.

Overseeing the overall look and feel of the display, Rony Plesl a Czech designer, created the exhibition’s look in standing stones, or “forest of steles” style, to showcase each piece of work in a contemporary light. Sophisticated and majestic this exhibit is sure to leave a lasting impression on those who are lucky enough to attend.

Luxury, style and quality are trademarks of Cartier in not only their jewelry but in their Cartier watches since 1904 when they created their first wristwatch. Not only was it their first wristwatch but it was the first wristwatch every created in an effort to aid Brazilian aviator Albert Santos-Dumont Cartier’s friend.
