The 14th batch of BBA programme began at the Campus of School of Management Sciences,Varanasi. Addressing the inaugural session, the Chief Guest, Prof. S. K. Singh, Head & Dean, FMS, BHU, Varanasi said that identifying and exploiting opportunities are essential to gain success in management. He further said that high hopes and aspirations are required, but it needs to be complemented with matching amount of efforts. In the present era man power development is inevitable to meet the challenges of the corporate world. Thus students should develop their capabilities to become an indispensable part of the economic development process. Prof. K. M. Pandey, Emeritus Professor SMS gave blessings to the students and said that expectations of business have increased tremendously and hard working and intelligent managers are the call of the hour. Earlier the Director of the Institute, Prof. P. N. Jha welcomed the guests and students and said that the SMS fraternity is committed for the intellectual development of its students. He further stated that BBA is the gateway to the management education in India. He urged students to develop their business accumen with the help of the faculty members in order to excel in corporate world.

Earlier the programme began with the lamp lighting and garlanding of the statue of Goddess Saraswati by the Chief Guest Prof. S. K. Singh, Dr. M. P. Singh, Executive Secretary, SMS, Prof. P. N. Jha, Director, SMS and Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Registrar, SMS. Prof. P. N. Jha, Director, SMS presented the memento to the Chief Guest. Mr. Atish Khadse, Coordinator, BBA discussed in detail the BBA three year programme and the future career options after pursing BBA. Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Registrar, SMS proposed the vote of thanks. The inaugural session was coordinated by Dr. Meenakshi Singh, Sr. Lecturer, SMS. On the occasion the faculty members were also present.
