Industries for the Blind Selects BSI As Its On-site Training Provider

Reston, VA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/11/2010 -- BSI announced that they were selected by Industries for the Blind as their preferred on-site training provider for ISO 9001. BSI’s two-part program integrated ISO management requirements into the organization’s standard internal auditor class. This flexibility allowed Industries for the Blind to accommodate both their existing management and new internal auditors.

According to John Hankwitz, Vice President for Quality at the Industries for the Blind, BSI’s training design provided minimum disruption to the normal workflow and the on-site training option allowed Industries for the Blind to avoid costly travel expenses, giving more employees the opportunity to participate in the program.

Hankwitz was thrilled with the program, noting specifically BSI’s flexibility and ability to deliver the program to suit Industries of the Blind’s needs. “The instructor sometimes needs to read and describe the slides for the visually impaired and blind. The instructor was just outstanding.”

“There are three benefits to BSI’s on-site training: convenience, cost-savings and flexibility,” stated Shereen Abuzobaa, Vice President for Marketing and Training at BSI. “The training BSI provided Institute for the Blind gave them all three.”

Hankwitz said he was satisfied with the management training because it reminded everybody of the importance of ISO and how it fits into the way we do business. According to Hankwitz, the review material placed, “everybody on the same level and headed in the right direction, which I thought was critical.”
