San Diego, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/17/2010 -- Gharial Productions has tapped Kip Shelton to direct their upcoming feature film “The Kult.” Kip joined the crew in February of this year and has already demonstrated his vast knowledge and expertise.

“Kip was a great choice,” says Executive Producer Dan Flud. “He has experience and will really be an excellent asset on and off the set.”

Kip Shelton has been a writer, editor, special effects designer, composer, producer, and director for the last thirty years. He has done work for companies such as DreamWorks, MTV, VH-1, Discovery, and countless motion pictures and television projects. With credits from “Behind the Music” to “Amistad,” Kip’s experience provides a well rounded foundation for almost any pre-production, production, or post production role.

Kip has also written a few blog entries on the Gharial Productions website during the casting process, offering his personal insights.

“The Kult” is based on the novel published by Leucrota Press by UK author Shaun Jeffrey. It tells the terrifying story of Detective Prosper Snow as he tries to catch a sadistic serial killer.
