The International Aerospace Quality Group’s (IAQG) latest revision to the AS9100 family of standards imposes a number of additional requirements on the industry and expands the scope of the standard to include space and defense industries with land and sea-based systems for defense applications. According to the IAQG, organizations only have until July 1, 2012 to become compliant with these new requirements or lose their certification. This deadline makes it imperative to adopt systems and methodologies that significantly increase efficiency and accurately demonstrate conformance.
