A new Kroger Marketplace is coming to Grovetown, Georgia, great news for prospective buyers.
Grovetown, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/02/2014 -- Last week on their blog, Prudential Beazley Real Estate announced that Grovetown, Georgia will be growing in the next few years, especially off the Grovetown exit. "Developers are currently forging ahead on plans for a 35-acre commercial development the keystone of which will be an 114,000 square-foot Kroger Marketplace." said Prudential Beazley Real Estate. The large shopping center will include nine retail and restaurant out parcels in addition to the Augusta area's first Kroger Marketplace.
Prudential Beazley Real Estate cautioned that there are still a few hurdles to accomplish before construction of the shopping center can begin. "10 residential, industrial, and commercial parcels off William Few Parkway and Lewiston Road must be rezoned and expanded to accommodate an increase in traffic," reports Prudential Beazley Real Estate. This process will push back the completion date to late 2015 or early 2016. However, once complete, the Marketplace is anticipated to create between 250 and 350 jobs.
"Marketplace stores offer a great number of products not typically offered by Kroger General Stores," says Prudential Beazley Real Estate. This includes jewelry, decorative goods, apparel, office and school supplies, furniture, toys. Marketplace will also offer additional services such as in-store banking, Starbucks coffee, a fuel center, and a drive through pharmacy.
The new shopping center comes as great news for those residing or searching for a home in Grovetown, Georgia. The little city was recently ranked the fifth safest city in Georgia by Movoto Real Estate, making Grovetown even more appealing.
