On December 12, 2014 Global Music Awards announced the young cellist as the recipient of their highest honor; "Best of Show". This recording placed Carmine Miranda as the youngest cellist to professionally record and release this repertoire worldwide. Alfredo Piatti (1822-1901) is known for composing one of the most difficult set of pieces for the violoncello. The 12 Caprices is a set recognized for its technical difficulty and complexity, equivalent to the Niccolò Paganini 24 Caprices for Solo Violin.
