Montreal, QC -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/26/2014 -- Ivonne Serna, a graduate from Ryerson University released today the first calf-accommodating detachable winter boots through her start-up company Tycra Wear. The patent-pending boots are measured, permitting the user to wear a tall boot or a short boot by detaching the calf tube. The boots are designed to fit differing calf sizes, from 12 inches to up to 21" in circuit.

They accept that as people have different shoe sizes for feet then the world should have different sizes for calves too. Everyone has different bodies and the company strives to serve a wider client base by designing products that embrace diverse body types.

Ivonne Serna, company Co-Founder, commented, "Our boots feature Primaloft 400 gram insulation technology. This inventive insulation was first created for the military for superior performance amid the winter, they're warm, water resistant, and lightweight."

The company has been investigating and buckling down on this project since March 2013. They have put their own assets down on the table to find the best quality materials, selecting the right footwear factory, designing, chipping away at patterns, creating the models, doing fit and field tests.

"It's difficult to discover great tall winter boots if you have wide or exceptionally slim calves. There are just few choices on the market, contrasted with sneakers, where there are thousands of options." says Ivonne.
