Always Best Care Along With Connecticut and Ohio Restaurants Promote Alzheimer’s Association

Roseville, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/23/2010 -- Always Best Care Senior Services, a leader in providing in-home care and assisted living placement for seniors, has worked closely with the Alzheimer’s Association throughout every region of the country. With 113 locations in 34 states, Always Best Care has helped the Alzheimer’s Association promote the Annual Memory Walk this year in various cities, including Hartford, Connecticut and Cleveland, Ohio. Through their efforts, Always Best Care Franchise Owners in both of these cities have partnered with area restaurants to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk by getting them to donate 10% of the diner’s dinner check to the organization’s annual event on selected evenings. Restaurants will only make the donation if patrons mention the fundraiser to their server.

According to Franchise Owners Kristine and John Lajeunesse, of Always Best Care Central Connecticut, it is a lot of work but the end result is that they are able to work closely with the Alzheimer’s Association and area restaurants to promote this very important event. John and Kristine have solicited the help of area restaurants like Burton's Grill in South Windsor, Connecticut Golf Land in Vernon, Funny Bones Comedy Club in Manchester, and Bart's Beanery in Windsor. All parties involved promote the event on their websites and through social media.

Nearly 600 miles away, Neil and Tom Golli of Always Best Care South Cleveland are doing something very similar. In fact, the whole idea for both the Gollis and the Lajeunesse’s promotion originated through Neil’s contact with his local Alzheimer’s Association in Cleveland. According to Neil, both Assisted Living Communities and Skilled Nursing Facilities are always looking for activities to offer to their residents and the goodwill this type of event generates keeps this worthwhile cause top of mind.

Both Franchise Locations are very active with the Alzheimer’s Association as well as various other senior organizations within their communities.
