Houston, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/05/2015 -- A new organization has been set up to help combat the slaughter of polar bears for profit. Save The Bears set up the organization with the purpose of fighting against the efforts of ARSU SYSTEMS, which is a start-up business that uses polar bear skins and fur as an "organic" building insulation material. Save the Bears wants to stop such companies from further reducing the worldwide population of polar bears and is looking for support in their battle.

A spokesman for Save The Bears broke down in tears during a press conference when describing how polar bears are killed for profit. The press conference had to be delayed for half an hour while the spokesman took time out so they able to continue describing in details how the animals suffer.

If present trends continue, with approximately 11 polar bears being killed each week, the current generation could be the last to enjoy the sight and study of the majestic creatures of the far North. Save the Bears wants to stop and reverse that trend by shutting down ARSU SYSTEMS and similar businesses around the world, which are focused on the killing of these animals.

ARSU SYSTEMS business model is to farm, shave, kill and skin polar bears in order to use their fur and skins as "thermal insulation products". Save the Bears is designed to publicize the fate of the animals and to be a leading voice for individuals, businesses and organizations to demand that such practices and companies that rely on them for profit stop.

Save The Bears labels as false the claim by ARSU SYSTEMS that the fur and skin of polar bears is a solution for global warming. "In fact," says a Save the Bears spokesperson, "the claims of such businesses are ridiculous. If the actions of ARSU SYSTEMS and like companies is not stopped, polar bears as a species will cease to exist."
