Facebook Update Prompts Major Social Marketing Providers to Temporarily Suspend Facebook "Fan-Page Like" Services

Charlotte, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/06/2015 -- An update coordinated by Facebook earlier this month has brought several of the country's leading providers offering Facebook Fan-Page Likes such as Fast Followerz, Devumi and Buyrealmarketing.com to a screeching halt.

In this recent update, all methods for gaining Facebook Fans non-organically have been rendered useless. The team at Facebook has managed to patch a major flaw which previously enabled services to use cookies from real Facebook users in order to perform actions on their behalf. The assault by Facebook closely echoes the recent purge by Instagram coordinated just before Christmas 2014, where thousands of "inactive" followers were removed overnight.

However, in stark comparison, the downtime experienced by social marketing providers throughout the country has been far greater than those previously experienced by Twitter and Instagram purges. "We were able to fully restore services within 72 hours after the Instagram purge. The resolution on our end to this recent Facebook update is taking us much longer," said an anonymous source.

So far, no social marketing provider has yet to fully restore its Facebook Fan-Page liking services. The impressive assault is just one of Facebook's ongoing attempts to deter users from purchasing engagement in the form of likes, followers and other methods.

In addition to Facebook Fan-page likes, social media users are able to purchase similar services for Twitter and Instagram including retweets, followers, comments and more. So far, no social marketing provider is reporting any interruptions with these particular services.
