Chicago, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/17/2015 -- One Million Degrees is thrilled to welcome three new members to its Board of Directors: Andrew Feinberg, Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, Adrian I. Peace, Vice President, Specialty Brands, M&A, Brazil, W. W. Grainger. Inc., and George Ruhana, Chief Executive Officer, Peak6 Capital Management.

Andrew Feinberg is a Principal with Deloitte Consulting's Strategy & Operations practice based in Chicago, with a specific focus on supply chain management and strategic procurement. Andrew also leads Deloitte Consulting's Restaurant and Foodservice industry sector. He has over 20 years of experience in consulting and operational roles.

In his role as Vice President of Specialty Brands, M&A and Brazil at W. W. Grainger. Inc., Adrian I. Peace is responsible for leading Grainger's North America M&A team and their portfolio of Specialty Brands businesses as well as leading the business in Brazil. Previously, he was Vice President, Global Business, responsible for leading Grainger's businesses in Europe & Brazil, while also leading the global purchasing team and other global sourcing initiatives. Adrian also brings with him over 20 plus years of extensive experience in supply chain and lean management from General Electric (GE Energy and GE Industrial Systems), and was promoted to key leadership roles of increasing responsibility, serving as President & CEO of Latin America (GE Consumer & Industrial) and President, North America (GE Power & Water). As an advocate for talent development, diversity and inclusive leadership, Adrian also served as the Global Diversity leader for several GE businesses.

Also joining the board is George Ruhana, Chief Executive Officer of PEAK6 Capital Management. Prior to his current role, George was the Chief Executive Officer of OptionsHouse, a consumer retail brokerage that was sold by PEAK6 in August 2014. George joined PEAK6 in 1999 as a senior trader, and prior to joining PEAK6, he was a Vice President of exchange trading for NationsBank CRT, where he focused on interest-rate options. George also spent three years at Swiss Bank Corporation trading interest-rate options. George received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago.

One Million Degrees will benefit greatly from the expertise and leadership of these three new board members. The One Million Degrees Board of Directors is responsible for supporting and advising the Chief Executive Officer on the operation and governance of the organization, and developing the organization's strategy for growth and impact. The Board exercises fiduciary oversight, and works to raise funds and awareness so that One Million Degrees can continue to empower growing numbers of low-income community college students to succeed in school, in work, and in life.
