Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/26/2015 -- While the history of the The Beatles has been told, retold and retold some more, very little is known about the influences behind their history-changing career. It's important to remember that the music of the 1940s and 1950s was responsible for creating their sound and, in a compelling new eBook, that 'forgotten' history is showcased with interactive aplomb.

Rock historian Marc Platt has spent hundreds of hours combing through research to compile 'How The Beatles Did It'. But this isn't just a traditional book of history; it's a journey through The Beatles' influences told through words, songs and video to bring the adventure to life.

"How The Beatles Did It!" ($4.99) is a User-Friendly Guide and interactive eBook that focuses on who influenced The Beatles to write their massive catalog in just an eight-year span.

The eBook also features 14 Audio Notebooks and and 6 Special "Deconstructing Videos" ("Yes It Is," "In My Life," "Paperback Writer," "She's Leaving Home," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and the "Abbey Road Medley") only available to eBook purchasers.

"To my knowledge, this is the first eBook in the music genre to meld text with audio and video, and it's just the first of an entire series I am writing covering the history of Rock and Pop music," explains the author, also a celebrated blogger. "This volume focuses on who The Beatles used as inspiration during their formation and throughout their fame as they penned tracks that have sold hundreds of millions of copies."

Continuing, "I dig much deeper than other books on the market, covering who they liked, a chronicle of their progressing influences, an exposé' of many untold stories behind classics such as the 'Abbey Road' LP and I even give new, fresh analysis on each of the Fab Four in turn. Of course it's all told through an interactive format that readers wouldn't have experienced before."

With an illuminating history, much of it being made public for the first time, Platt's new volume is sure-fire hit for any music aficionado or for those who thought they knew it all about John, Paul, George and Ringo.
