Laurisa White Reyes Launches Crowdfunding Campaign for Wade Bradford's New Middle School Novel "Camp Omigosh"

Kickstarter project seeks funding to publish a hilarious, not-your-typical campfire adventure for ages 8 – 12.

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/27/2015 -- A book many middle grade readers are sure to love, Camp Omigosh captures every element of sleep-away camp in a fun and engaging fashion. What's this fiction novel geared towards young readers about?

Connor's summer is off to a rough start: the camp bus almost crashes, his cabin mates don't trust him, and the girls on the other side of the camp constantly outsmart him. But when he and his friends Tasha, Parker, and Kimberly investigate the mystery surrounding the "Ghost of Dead Billy," they begin a hilarious adventure that is worlds away from your typical campfire story.

Early indications point to this book becoming a runaway hit: "A wild and zany camping adventure that will leave you begging for more. A must read for middle graders looking for something out of the ordinary." - Dorine White, author of The Awakening & Cleopatra's Legacy series Crowdfunding is sought to finalize the publishing details in collaboration with Skyrocket Press since the book itself has already been written.

Artists Matthew Easterbrook and Emma Michaels will be completing cover design, with Dorine White on developmental edits, Laurisa Reyes on formatting and interior design as well as a proofreader who will all be working together. Funds raised will also be committed to strategic book marketing and promotion to get the book into the hands of as many kids as possible, particularly through schools and libraries.

Backers to this crowdfunding campaign can choose from an array of exciting crowdfunding rewards including signed copies of the book, posters, and backpacks. The author is also offering Skype and in-person author visits to schools.

This crowdfunding project ends on March 19, 2015
