iMotions and ASL Announce Release Integration of Live Streaming of Wireless Biosensors in Combination with Eye Tracking

Cambridge, MA -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/05/2015 -- iMotions, the developer of the world's foremost biometric research software, and Applied Science Laboratories (ASL) announce release of wireless eye tracking and biometric sensor synchronization solution.

iMotions software now has a new set of features that deeply integrate with the eye tracking glasses from ASL. Users can view a live stream of users wearing the glasses to create a wireless research setup with minimal impact on the wearer. In addition to the operator's ability to view live eye tracking data, researchers can now synchronize physiological responses from biometric sensors to offer more insights on human behavior and affective responses.

Mobile eye tracking experiments can now be designed to concurrently include data collection and visualization of information from sources support out-of-the-box like GSR, ECG, EMG, EEG, facial expression analysis. The combination of ASL glasses and iMotions' software has already been applied by iMotions' clients in various applications such as in store shopper research and the Stanford driving simulator where the powerful API was additionally used to synchronize the data collected with events in the simulator.

The eye tracking glasses offered by ASL are able to wirelessly stream information about participant gaze and fixation at 60 Hz. This hardware also creates minimal impact on the wearer, providing the opportunity to freely move without a feeling of obscurity and a truly mobile setup.

"ASL is excited to combine the capabilities of the ASL Mobile Eye 5 with the iMotions software. This unique integration of Gaze Information Synched with Multiple Biometric inputs allows the researcher to focus on their research and eliminates the often time consuming efforts of synchronizing Gaze with multiple data streams into a single visualization and data set, allowing for efficient identification of events that gain critical insight into their research," says Robert Wilson, Product Manager at ASL.

"The integration of this hardware offers researchers yet another powerful solution for their research toolbox. Live streaming the data from ASL's eye tracking glasses with biometric sensors opens a new frontier of experimental design as it lifts limitations. We are proud to offer this solution for immediate application in the field, " says Peter Hartzbech, CEO of iMotions.
