St. Louis, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/06/2015 -- After their recently hosted San Diego Pet Expo, Amazing Pet Expos producers are able to celebrate 100 successful expos since 2009!

"One Hundred shows is such a big accomplishment for us!" says Sheila Rilenge, President of Amazing Expos, "We started as such a small company in 2009, with just an idea to help pet-owners and pet-related businesses. We never thought we'd get so far. Ultimately, it is about being an excellent community partner and assisting people with becoming better pet companions. It's all about the pets!"

In 2009, the first Amazing Pet Expo took place in Saint Louis, where the company's home base is located. The concept for an Amazing Pet Expos stemmed from a realization the owners had; that there were too many pet owners who didn't have the resources they needed in order to take care of their pet/s.

"We would find out that someone fell into hard times and gave their pet up to a local shelter, when they could have gone to a local Pet Food Bank – which exists in most cities – so that they could keep their pet and still take care of them," says Rilenge, "From there, we realized that there needed to be a place where information like this could be distributed. There are so many instances where resources are available locally and no one knows about those resources."

Since the initial expo in St. Louis, Amazing Pet Expos has expanded to every corner of the United States – from New York to Seattle, from Tampa Bay to Long Beach to Austin, TX, even Anchorage, Alaska. This year, there are 33 Pet Expos across the country -spanning from January until December of 2014 – with 37 days of show. More recently, the expos have transitioned from one-day events to two-day pet spectaculars in select markets.
