Dayton Ohio Undergoes Rapid Growth with Distribution Centers and Warehouses
Standish, MI -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/09/2015 -- Procter & Gamble distribution center in Union, near the Dayton International Airport, became fully operational recently. Procter & Gamble distribution center is just the tip of the iceberg, with more in the pipeline. The new $90 million, 1.8 million square foot distribution center in Union will have up to 1,400 jobs and provide a shot in the arm to the Dayton regional economy. More distribution centers are expected to locate in the region and officials said there are several looking around the region for locations now.
Being home to the Crossroads of America, the intersection of Interstate 70 and Interstate 75, has helped the Dayton region lure logistics and distribution investments. However, the efforts of local municipalities and the Dayton Development Coalition is elevating that effort to a new level.
