Decatur, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/11/2015 -- The T/CCI Climatic Wind Tunnel is located in Decatur, IL. Wind tunnel engineers are on-site with direct access to a multi-million dollar R & D lab and engineering test facility. The climatic wind tunnel tests air conditioning cool down, heater warm-up, defrosting, defogging, engine & transmission cooling, road loads, inclines, trailer towing, city traffic simulation, front end airflow, hot or cold soak evaluations and custom test development. Key attributes of the tunnel include temperature control, humidity range, airflow dynamometer, repeat-ability and solar simulation. Ed Stricklen, T/CCI's Engineering Test Manager, oversees the management and test scheduling for the Compressor Validation Laboratory and Climatic Wind Tunnel. He manages T/CCI's compressor validation program and customer report generation. Stricklen's expertise also extends into electrical, electronics, and instrumentation setup and repair.
Stricklen's previous roles at T/CCI include time in design, as well as fabrication of custom compressor durability and performance test facilities. Prior to joining our team, Stricklen served as a Laboratory Manager for Peerless of America, the Senior Manager of Testing and Development for Valeo-Zexel and a Senior Electronics Technician for Borg Warner. Stricklen is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and holds an AAS degree in Electronics Technology.
