The New Jersey musician, known for his esteemed contributions to ‘30 Rock’ and ‘Ugly Betty’, is now teaming up with author Jennifer J. Heath for the launch of her epic new novel. ‘My Raging Heart’ will make its YouTube trailer public on April 24th, 2015. But it’s no ordinary trailer - Val Emmich has penned an original exclusive song for the production, written from the point of view of one of the novel’s protagonists.

'My Raging Heart' will see its launch accompanied by a YouTube trailer featuring an original song by Val Emmich – most notable for his appearances on '30 Rock' and 'Ugly Betty', while also being the first unsigned artist to be featured on MTV's 'Total Request Live'.
"Val wrote the song from the perspective of one of the novel's main characters who also, ironically, is a famous musician," explains Heath, who garnered much acclaim for her debut novel, 'The Nereidians of Ondine'. "The video that is in post-production also includes his original hand-written lyrics."
The novel itself plans to be heart-pounding, playing on every woman's thirst for that perfect celebrity crush.
Synopsis:
My Raging Heart follows Myra, a self-conscious, down-to-earth farm girl, through her struggles as a newly hatched divorcee.
Driven from her small town by the humiliation of a cheating husband, Myra throws herself into a completely different world. She arrives in the big city as naïve as ever, but soon realizes that she must learn to believe in herself if she will ever be able to get by.
Finding support in unexpected places, Myra surprises herself with the success that follows. She finds a job that puts a roof over her head and food in her stomach. Her social life also far surpasses her wildest dreams. She meets a man she had once idolized: her favorite musician, Eric. To her surprise, Eric continues to express interest in spending time with her, despite having a model for a girlfriend.
In the whirlwind of the city drama, Myra finds herself longing for home and the simpler life. The result however, is far from simple. She wonders if it wasn't a huge mistake and misses her city friendships.
Myra eventually finds that she can have the best of both worlds.

Jennifer Heath is the author of the novels, My Raging Heart and The Nereidians of Ondine.
My educational credentials are not in writing, but science. I have a degree in biotechnology from the University of Newcastle (in Australia). I currently work as a chemist at a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory, but I always love a challenge. Even though I am generally a right-brained person, writing is something I like to do in order to tap into my creative side. I have tried other things (painting, music, etc.), but I didn't feel as connected to those activities as I have with my writing.
