Barbara Weissenbeck and Gerald Benesch Seek Indiegogo Funding for the Completion of the Music Documentary out of Vienna

Out of Vienna is an upcoming music documentary that will showcase Vienna's electronic music & downbeat movement of the 90's that is still going strong. Film production company Filmwerkstatt Wien is looking to raise $29,999 for the successful completion of this project.

Vienna, Austria -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/22/2015 -- The electronic-music scene of Vienna conquered the whole world in the 1990s. Filmwerkstatt Wien's upcoming music documentary Out of Vienna will feature artists that captivated the global audience out of the suburbs of Vienna and the Austrian country side. This includes Kruder & Dorfmeister, Gilles Peterson and Patrick Pulsinger. The film will also feature further of the filmmaker's friends and contributors like Makossa & Megablast, Sugar B, Rodney Hunter, Fritz Fitzke and others.

Out of Vienna will present a concise account of Vienna's modern musical history and present. A musical genre that was brought to the world stage by a group of friends in 1990's Vienna is still heard in concert halls, clubs and living rooms around the world. This film will show the correlation between the past and present of these artists. The current lives of these music composers, DJs, and video artists will be the central theme of Out of Vienna.

Going through the private archives and record boxes belonging to their friends, the project team has found wonderful private and professional footage. Now, their plan is to interview the protagonists at places that played important roles in their early career. The team is confident about drawing the viewers into the spell of a hedonistic movement that resulted in the creation of a new musical genre.

The overall funding budget for this project is $188,000. A significant portion of this amount will be supplied by the Austrian Television ORF. The team is looking to raise $29,999 via Indiegogo by the end of April. This will enable them to receive further funding from the 'Film Funds of Vienna and Austria.'
