Sycamore Springs Senior Living Community to Celebrate Grand Opening on May 3

 

Elizabethton, TN -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/22/2015 -- Sycamore Springs Senior Living Community, 1504 W. Elk Ave. , will celebrate its grand opening on Sunday, May 3, from 2 to 5 p.m.

The public is invited to tour the new 37,500 square-foot premier facility, with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

Invited dignitaries include: State Rep. John Holsclaw, Jr., state Rep. Timothy Hill, Carter County Mayor Leon Humphrey, President Melanie Stanton of Elizabethton's Chamber of Commerce, Pastor Randy Johnson of Valley Forge Freewill Baptist Church and Pastor Todd Hallman of First Baptist Church.

The new senior living community, the first of its kind in Elizabethton, will offer 30 deluxe assisted living apartments and 16 deluxe Alzheimer's units in a dedicated memory care wing. Sycamore Spring will also feature SimpleC, a cutting edge, scientifically proven, non-drug therapy to promote memory retention. The SimpleC therapy, which is delivered via an interactive flat-panel monitor, is specifically tailored for each individual utilizing familiar images, music and voices from a resident's own life to stimulate and help retain memories of important people and key events.

Sycamore Springs Senior Living Community is owned by The Ocoee Foundation, which also owns Hillview Health and Rehab Center and Hermitage Health Center in Elizabethton. All three of the facilities are just a short drive from Johnson City and Bristol, Tenn.
