On Friday May 1st, 2015, 1SEO.com's employees gathered up all of their belongings at their old office on Bristol Pike and drove five minutes down the road to Island View Crossing, an almost 180,000 square-foot office building in Bristol, PA. Their new headquarters is twice the size of the agency's previous office, and currently houses over 40 employees—a number which is expected to double over the next couple years.
"The decision to move our headquarters was an easy one. One of the issues with our old office was that we outgrew it. People were stacked on top of one another," Lance Bachmann, CEO and Founder of 1SEO.com said. "Our growth in terms of both employees and clients over the past year was phenomenal. I knew it was time to move, it was just a matter of where."
The process of searching for the agency's new headquarters started back in November 2014, and Bachmann—a Philadelphia native, visited several potential office buildings throughout the city's surrounding towns such as Warminster, Bensalem, and Newtown. However, it was Island View Crossing in Bristol that caught his eye.
"Our new office space has a cafeteria and gym, and of course I am adding arcade games and a shuffleboard table," Bachmann said. When walking into 1SEO.com's office suite (Suite 100) the first thing anyone will notice is how it is an open atmosphere. All of the conference rooms are surrounded by glass, and all of the doors are glass. "You get to see everyone working," Bachmann said, "I had the office designed the way it is so everyone who walks in sees what our company and its culture are all about. Plus, having an open atmosphere makes communication across departments much easier."
Does Bachmann see the company outgrowing their new headquarters in Bristol? "Only time will tell," Bachmann said. "If we keep growing the way we are over the next couple years, I can definitely see us expanding into another office suite."
