New Castle, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/07/2015 -- Production company MC2, Inc. announced that their latest television miniseries, American Bantam, will soon begin filming in the Atlanta area. The ultimate David versus Goliath story, American Bantam details the creation of the original Bantam Jeep, the first all-purpose, off-road vehicle produced for the U.S. Army and a key contributor to the Allies' victory during World War II.
The Pennsylvania-based company has been serving the arts through media since 1996, and jumped at the opportunity to work with a host of partners on the American Bantam project, including 4 Wheel to Heal, Blue Ribbon Coalition, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Southern Four Wheel Drive Association, Tread Lightly and United Four Wheel Drive Association. The miniseries will be produced by off-road hall-of-famer Del Albright, My Wife & Kids' Annice Parker and Southern's Walter Shafer. According to producer Parker, "we plan to recruit a few big-named actors to anchor the cast. The skeleton crew at Bantam was some of history's most mesmerizing characters. All dream roles. It's going to be exciting!"
Jeepsters, 4X4 enthusiasts, off-roaders and fans of a great narrative will be inspired by this true-to-the-facts action-drama.
