Minneapolis, MN -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/19/2015 -- AdvisorNet Financial has joined hands with Habitat for Humanity to build a multi-family unit in Hugo for low income families. The company has announced the date of the beginning of the project to be on 18 May and are inviting all financial advisors, planners, para-planners, associates, employees, friends and families to volunteer.
AdvisorNet Financial has launched a fundraising campaign for the support. The goal of the campaign is to raise $60,000 and 500+ volunteers over the course of nine weeks to complete this project. Sources confirmed that the site in Hugo MN was made possible by a million dollar land donation from JL Schwieters and Schwieters Companies. This will be home to the first ever Habitat homes in Hugo.
This is AdvisorNet Financial's first year sponsoring a Habitat home. This is certainly a big responsibility for this organization; therefore it is looking for financial and volunteer support from its partner organizations.
Speaking to the media, Dan May, the President and CEO of AdvisorNet Financial stated, "We work daily to help others get their financial house in order so we thought we would go full circle and help build a house for a qualifying family."
In addition to supporting the project financially, AdvisorNet Financial will also bring around fifteen (15) volunteers per day to help in building the home. In total, AdvisorNet Financial volunteers will be putting in over 4,000 hours.
