Solitude Entertainment, the creator of the new RPG tower defense game "Hydraulic Empire," is launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the production and distribution of this game.
Fullerton, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/20/2015 -- "Hydraulic Empire" is a tower defense game with RPG elements that focuses on strategy and persistent upgrades. Based on the premise of such games as Dungeon Defenders and Kingdom Rush, "Hydraulic Empire" adds in the thrill of mob interaction, a hero to control, and other components to create a truly versatile and enjoyable game experience. In reviewing the new game, Indie Games at http://indiegames.com/2015/05/preview_hydraulic_empire_looks.html said, "Hydraulic Empire looks to be that entry into the genre that I have been waiting for." Now, Solitude Entertainment, the company behind the creation of "Hydraulic Empire," has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the production and distribution of this game.
According to creator Chris McAulay, "Hydraulic Empire" takes the best of other RPG tower defense strategies and adds to them. "As a whole the genre is very diverse, however many games are only able to add one or two interesting features. What we are doing with Hydraulic Empire is taking the best of what we have experienced over the years, and then we are adding elements that are unique," says McAulay. Creator Kyle Peeters adds, "In Hydraulic Empire we are embracing as many RPG aspects as possible, so that you can create your defense in a tailor made way. One of the ways we are doing this is by having a builder/hero that levels, and can be customized via a talent tree."
McAulay and Peeters have spent most of their lives avidly participating in the gaming industry, first as players then as designers. Their small indie company in Fullerton, California, is now poised to release their own unique interpretation of the RPG tower defense genre with help from a Kickstarter campaign.
Located at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/795942790/hydraulic-empire , this campaign offers many pledge levels from $1 to $5,000 and perks ranging from credit for participation to copies of the game itself. For more information on each pledge level and associated perks, see the Kickstarter page.
Hydraulic Empire is also up on Steam Greenlight and can be supported for free:
