Decatur, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/04/2015 -- T/CCI Manufacturing, worldwide leader in the manufacturing of heavy duty compressors and clutches for the mobile air-conditioning and refrigeration industries is seeking an International Director of Quality. T/CCI is experiencing increased company growth driving job expansion opportunities. The position is located at the U.S. headquarters in Decatur, IL.
The position will require 50% international travel. The ideal candidate will be a Quality Manager/ Director with Six Sigma & Tier 1 Automotive experience. The responsibilities of the position will include developing, implementing, and coordinating product assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing quality products. The ideal candidate will perform and/or oversee APQP (DR/PR) Management, Supplier Development Management, Supplier Approval (Sourcing Committee/Supplier database approval), and QA/QC performance.
Required qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Discipline such as Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Quality, or related technical field or equivalent combination of education. The candidate should have 5-7 years' experience in Quality experience, preferably with Automotive Components from a large Tier 1 Automotive Supplier.
Additionally, experience with the quality management of automotive according to IS/TS 16949 is desired including a good understanding of the verification test method of automotive, automotive design and development process, knowledge of hardware and software development processes, as well as experience with failure analysis.
