Jonesboro, AR -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/18/2015 -- Hytrol Conveyor Co. based in Jonesboro, Arkansas announced a $12 million expansion plan that will include up to 75 new jobs. Hytrol had a record year in sales in 2014, and expects to see that number grow in 2015.
Hytrol Vice President Chris Glenn reported "We're trying to support the tremendous growth that we've seen recently, and to lay the groundwork for our future growth as well. We will be breaking ground in the next week or two and we've already begun hiring new employees."
The company said that the project includes a 62,000-square-foot expansion of its manufacturing facility, a new paint system, lasers, brake presses, and computerized numerical control equipment. Additional parking will also be part of the expansion. Hytrol designs and manufactures advanced conveyor systems and employs about 800 employees currently. The company has strong relationships with more than 100 integration partners globally. The economy has seen tremendous growth in e-commerce and omni-channel distribution centers.
